The Hadith (Inspired Sayings) of Muhammed
Dajjal-- Muhammed's Personal DevilAccount of the bewitchment of Muhammed -- Sahih Buhari-- Volume 4, Book 54, Number 490: Narrated 'Aisha: Magic was worked on the Prophet so that he began to fancy that he was doing a thing which he was not actually doing. One day he invoked (Allah) for a long period and then said, "I feel that Allah has inspired me as how to cure myself. Two persons came to me (in my dream) and sat, one by my head and the other by my feet. One of them asked the other, "What is the ailment of this man?" The other replied, 'He has been bewitched" The first asked, 'Who has bewitched him?' The other replied, 'Lubaid bin Al-A'sam.' The first one asked, 'What material has he used?' The other replied, 'A comb, the hair gathered on it, and the outer skin of the pollen of the male date-palm.' The first asked, 'Where is that?' The other replied, 'It is in the well of Dharwan.' " So, the Prophet went out towards the well and then returned and said to me on his return, "Its date-palms (the date-palms near the well) are like the heads of the devils." I asked, "Did you take out those things with which the magic was worked?" He said, "No, for I have been cured by Allah and I am afraid that this action may spread evil amongst the people." Later on the well was filled up with earth. Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri: Allah's Apostle told us a long narrative about Ad-Dajjal, and among the many things he mentioned, was his saying, "Ad-Dajjal will come and it will be forbidden for him to pass through the entrances of Medina. He will land in some of the salty barren areas (outside) Medina; on that day the best man or one of the best men will come up to him and say, 'I testify that you are the same Dajjal whose description was given to us by Allah's Apostle .' Ad-Dajjal will say to the people, 'If I kill this man and bring him back to life again, will you doubt my claim?' They will say, 'No.' Then Ad-Dajjal will kill that man and bring him back to life. That man will say, 'Now I know your reality better than before.' Ad-Dajjal will say, 'I want to kill him but I cannot.' "
More on Dajjal -- Volume 4, Book 55, Number 553: Narrated Ibn Umar: Once Allah's Apostle stood amongst the people, glorified and praised Allah as He deserved and then mentioned the Dajjal saying, "l warn you against him (i.e. the Dajjal) and there was no prophet but warned his nation against him. No doubt, Noah warned his nation against him but I tell you about him something of which no prophet told his nation before me. You should know that he is one-eyed, and Allah is not one-eyed."
Dajjal again-- Volume 4, Book 55, Number 554: Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "Shall I not tell you about the Dajjal a story of which no prophet told his nation? The Dajjall is one-eyed and will bring with him what will resemble Hell andParadise, and what he will call Paradise will be actually Hell; so I warn you (against him) as Noah warned his nation against him."
Dajjal and the mark of the Beast -- Volume 4, Book 55, Number 574: Narrated Mujahid: That when the people mentioned before Ibn 'Abbas that the Dajjal would have the word Kafir, (i.e. unbeliever) or the letters Kafir (the root of the Arabic verb 'disbelieve') written on his forehead, I heard Ibn 'Abbas saying, "I did not hear this, but the Prophet said, 'If you want to see Abraham, then look at your companion (i.e. the Prophet) but Moses was a curly-haired, brown man (who used to ride) a red camel, the reins of which was made of fires of date-palms. As if I were now looking down a valley."
Dajjal, who is he? -- Volume 9, Book 92, Number 453: Narrated Muhammad bin Al-Munkadir: I saw Jabir bin 'Abdullah swearing by Allah that Ibn Sayyad was the Dajjal. I said to Jabir, "How can you swear by Allah?" Jabir said, "I have heard 'Umar swearing by Allah regarding this matter in the presence of the Prophet and the Prophet did not disapprove of it." Fazlul Maulana--
Al Hadis, Vol 4, p. 414, Ayesha reported that the Apostle of Allah was once
enchanted. He called to Allah who sent angels. They sat by his legs and discussed
his problem, and one angel said, "who enchanted him?" The other said, "Labeed-b-A'sam,
a Jew, who used a comb to comb Muhammed's hair and the grape cover of a male person"
He asked, "Where is it?" The other said, "In the well at Zerwan." The Apostle
went to the well. The well was the color of Henna and the date palms were the
heads of devils. He took out the comb, and the enchantment went away." Agreed.
Fazlul Maulana-- Al Hadis, Vol. 3, p. 803, Ayesha
reported that the Prophet used to say (in prayer), "O Allah! I seek refuge
from Thee from the chastisement of the Fire... the trials of the grave... and
the evils of the trials of the one-eyed Dajjal..." Attested by agreement.
Fazlul Maulana-- Al-Hadis, Vol 4, p. 367, Anas reported that Gabriel appeared before the Apostle of Allah while he was playing with some boys. Gabriel took him, laid him down, pierced his heart, and took out a clot of blood. Then he said, "This is the portion of thee possessed of a devil." Next, he washed it in a gold cup with water from the well Zamzam. Thereafter (Gabriel) sewed him up and took him back where he found him... " Attested by Muslim
