Philippians 1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; 28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.
One Sunday you go to church. The Sunday School teacher tells you that the devil will whip you if you don't watch out. The pastor preaches that God will kill your children if you don't tithe. You go home and read in Texe Marrs paper that the government is going to come and get you and use you for "black science." You turn on the radio and hear that the some government agency took someone's kids. Someone from your homeschool group sends an email that we will soon be forced to register wiht the government of face the consequences. Your go for a walk and your neighbor tells you she had a "vision" that you are going to be piano helped by Satan.
Terrifying. Frightening. Distressing. Is this how the Pirnce of Peace intends us to live? No. His will for us is clearly reveled in the word of God. John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
