1 Timothy
1Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. The reason people want Bible perversions is that they are discontent and, all too often, want to be ungodly. You cannot find godliness and contentment in the false Bibles. This very thing drives some to the King James Bible! Those who want true godliness and contentment will end up KJB-only. If they don't, they are pretenders.
1Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. This is the basic reason for all perverting of scripture from Origin to some modern-day preacher trying to keep his audience and salary. They mess with the word of God to keep the people beholding to them as the source of all truth thereby keeping the people's wallets as well. This goes for all the people in between too - Westcott and Hort, all the pervertions of English and Greek, and the new translations in other languages put out by the "Bible" societies. Even the Trinitarian Bible Society UK is in this business by making themselve the measure of all truth instead of the word of God. There is plenty of profit in it ($$) but not to the soul nor spirit. Even early perversions that Paul mentions were probably to get a following and an income. Bible colleges are notorious for this! (So-called Bible teachers that mess with the woord to invent a "unique" doctrine of their own to gain a following are guilty of the same thing - the love of money.) Note that this covetousness causes people to err from the faith!
1Timothy 6:14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: We must keep this commandment till Jesus Chtist comes! And we must keep it without spot and unrebukable. If there are mistakes in the Bible then we have no clue what is right and what is not. If we are not sure if this is accurate, then we cannot keep it with out spot and unrebukable. It would be stupid for God to give us this command it is really impossible, and what's more, it would make God a liar! Revelation 3:8-10, John 14:15.
1Timothy 6:20-21 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: 21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen. Same as above. How can we keep what we supposedly don't have? God would not order this if it were impossible, so we must have His word! We must avoid the profane and vain babblings of Bible mutilators. Romans 16:17-18, 2 Timothy 2:14-18.
Watch out for those who contradict the Bible with their falslely called "science." Any "scientific fact" that contradicts the Bible is a lie, no matter how much "scientific evidnce" the "experts" claim to have. From evil-ution to the Septuigent, from child rearing to UFOs, from the Hallelujah Diet to yanis and greys. No matter what it is or who it is, the Bible is always right!
