THEY LOVE AND MAKE A LIE

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

As we near the return of our Lord, lying has become a way of life.  Many saints lie constantly to each other, and pastors lie to cover up their faults and to smooth the way before them.  However; I have found a wonderful example of lying.  And, I bet you went for it too.

I was eating my daily dose of "100% Bran" by the Post Cereal Company.  I want to be known as "a regular guy" you see.  Well, whenever I eat a new brand of boxed cereal, I read the box with what I believe is healthy skepticism.

So, there was the name-  "100% Bran."  Now that's real clear isn't it?  I mean, no third grader could miss the point, and I think that your average PhD might even accept that name as pretty free of philosophical confusion.  Well, being skeptical, after having read thousands of lies in marketing, I looked at the ingredients on the end of the box.  I actually expected to find only one word-- BRAN.  I mean, that title on the front of the box was just too innocent to make me suspect that they would brag that way then add other ingredients.

Are you ready?

WHEAT BRAN

SUGAR

MALTED BARLEY FLOUR

SALT

FIG JUICE

PRUNE JUICE

Now, my dear groupies, that is a pretty short list as it usually goes with Twinkies and weenies, etc.  And, it is all good food, which is rare.  But, did you notice anything?  Ah yes, you saw the point-- THEY LIED.

And, who would complain?  After all, 99.9% of those who feast on Post's "100% Bran" Cereal are worse liars, right.  So, we all go on our way just accepting it as status quo.

We are not going to call for a boycott of Post Cereals.  We ARE telling the world though that Post, those fine god-fearing Seventh Day Adventists, are LIARS.

Do eat your bran groupies--  94.368% Bran, that is.

ONE MORE THOUGHT:  Have you ever bought one of those packaged water products with "some ham added to improve consistency"?  ...Just thought I'd ask.
